PayPal has again been subpoenaed for documents related to its online gambling business, this time by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.
The latest subpoena comes on the heels of earlier ones probing PayPal’s online gambling business and lawsuits filed by PayPal shareholders, alleging that the PayPal’s $1.5 Billion selling price to eBay was too low. In addition, New York State regulators have questioned whether the company is running an illegal bank or unlicensed money transmitter service.
PayPal “intends to cooperate fully with the United States Attorney’s office in this matter,” the company said in its regulatory filing.
BetWWTS.com Announces Odds on American Idol
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua — FOX’s American Idol has hit the right note with nearly 10 million television viewers tuning in to see who will be crowned the next American pop star. Beginning with over 10,000 hopefuls across the nation, the show has been narrowed down to the five remaining performers competing for a major recording deal and management contract. Realizing that American Idol has become the latest phenomena in reality TV, BetWWTS.com today released odds on who will emerge as the winner of the country’s biggest talent search.
An offshore gaming company since 1992, BetWWTS.com has listed odds on each of the five remaining contestants being chosen as the next superstar. Currently, BetWWTS.com lists Tamyra Gray as the favorite to win the recording contract at 4/5 odds (i.e., win $4 for every $5 bet). Although Tamyra appears to have the best chance of winning, the odds makers at BetWWTS.com have not discounted the chances of Kelly and Justin, listed at 9/5 and 5/2 odds, respectively. RJ (12/1) and Nikki (20/1) appear least likely to have what it takes to be selected for immediate pop stardom, and will likely be the next two voted off of the show.
“It is obvious from their past performances that the remaining Togel Singapore finalists vying for the grand prize are all very talented individuals. The key to winning a talent show of this caliber is to perform consistently while capturing the attention of the judges and the voting audience,” said Buck Churchill, chief bet manager of BetWWTS.com. “Of the remaining participants, the judges and voters at home seem to have taken to Tamyra, our odds-on favorite. She is repeatedly the first contestant voted into the next round, while her dazzling performances have impressed even Simon Cowell, the harshest critic on the expert panel of judges.”
BetWWTS.com will be offering betting options on American Idol throughout the remainder of the series until the show’s finale on September 4th. All current odds are subject to change. For more information, visit http://www.betwwts.com.
